This gig took me totally by surprise. I was expecting the new album in full and maybe a couple hits but it was the totally the other way round, a greatest hits gig with 3 tracks off the album.
The stage was set with LED candles and the band coming onto stage with authentic church organ music. Opening with the first single off the album Brussels is Haunted. They continued to surprise me with tracks like The Cutter with Will excelling himself with his guitar playing, Heads will Roll and All that Jazz Unstoppable force and Lab Rats Ran off the new album were played.
The rest of the night was single or an old but gold track including All that Jazz, Rescue, OverThe Wall. Ian’s vocals were spot on not like the last time we saw them In Warrington were he was not well. Ian was in high spirits as he interacted with crowd skitting one of them about being a teacher as he put it “school was shit”.
“Do you wanna dance” was the intro to Bedbugs and Ballyhoo.Killing moon and the finishing off with Bring on the dancing horses, I think the crowd really loved it listening to the comments on the way as they were like me expecting the new album and not a greatest hits gig.
