It’s a showcase night, but not for the bands, for the PA system. This gig was organised by Studiocare a music equipment company to showcase the new TPI Totem (*1) sound system. Look how informed we are!

In between the DJs and a solo artist we have a fully fledged rock band ,The Blue Eyed Crows. They mix more than a hint of Goth and Psych sounds in with some big sounding 70s heavier rock and then add some even bigger ‘Janis would be surprised’ vocals.
The Crows follow the Lemmy ethos of rock stars (*12 and really do come across as other worldly. They back it up with a roster of songs that catch the attention with very hooky big sounding melodies and they definitely have the musical skills to back it all up. Big sounds presented lay a larger than life band.

*1 – For the record it sounded just fine, very clear focussed and punchy but what do we know we just go to gigs.
*2 – ‘If you’re going to be a fucking rock star go be one. People don’t want to see the guy next door on stage; they want to see a being from another planet.’ – Lemmy Kilmister
