The Ruts DC opened their set with Faces In the Sky from their Counter Culture album. As they were about to play “Something that I said “a punter shouted out ” Babylons Burning” with Segs replying we blend that into the set later The Ruts DC set mainly comprised of album tracks but included some of the singles  like Something That I Said, West One (Shine on me), Kill The Pain, Staring At The Rude Boys ,in A Rut their first single on the People Unite label. S.U.S. Born Innocent ,Poison Games, Jah War and Mighty Soldier was introduced as a time for a Friday skank in Liverpool.

I was expecting to see Bruce Foxton play his last gig in Liverpool but due too ill health he couldn’t Russell Hastings and the From the Jam band went through Settings Sons and a whole host of great Jam singles including” In The City””Start” “and “Eton Rifles”,”Going Underground”

Whilst they were playing Smithers Jones a fight broke out and Russell stayed “Now that’s a first a fight in Smithers Jones”. Pretty Green and David Watts all were well received by the enthusiastic crowd .

The whole evening was dedicated to the late Jam drummer, Rick Buckler, who’s picture adorned the backdrop.
