Words and Photos: Steve Watson

Opening up for Pop Will Eat Itself on their DELETE EVERYTHING Tour we have Brighton based Irish born grunge-punks City Dog. Led by singer guitarist Deri. The played a power packed set   with current single I Might Die /From The Drain included in the set. These guys have opened for Buzzcocks, The Wythches and Kid Kapichi. They are very good and they were well received by the Poppies fan in Chester.

PwEI came onto the stage with “I Wanna Be Adored” by The Stone Roses as there tribute to recently deceased MANI. Playing for just over an hour and a half playing tracks off the new album Delete Everything and a multitude of classics from there previous albums and hit singles from their  discography.

Stand out tracks were Wise Up Sucker, PWEIZATION, Can you dig it, But there were so many more  great tracks. With Mary  and Graham bouncing on stage as if  they were teenagers again Adam climbing up his keyboard stand and the keyboard high up Graham gong into the crowd and getting crowd to singalong, Deri came onto play guitar for them as it was there last night of the tour. There’s still 3 gigs to go  on this tour London, Southampton, Norwich so go and see them if you can.
