A free acoustic gig by local band Oranj Son.The gig was to showcase new tracks and old singles from their back catalogue.
The band opened up with “Hi” and a “As Yet untitled track”.They did a simplified 5.30 am. They then asked the crowd to imagine a drummer playing very fast as they then played Skin of my teeth. Blue Mau Mau came next ‘Motors’ a song written about local football team Vauxhall Motors. Daffodil, Come Modify Me Baby and an old single Dream and Lie. A song about people living in the high rise flats in Ellesmere Port followed.
Not bad for a free gig on a beautiful evening in the sun. Oranj Son aim to do more of these acoustic spare of the moment gigs locally and they have a headlining gig in August at the Theatre Porto.
