From Big Country mainly features musicians who’ve been in Big Country as well as some from other name bands. The gig was supposed to take place outside in the courtyard but due to the rain falling all day ,it was transferred indoors. The band started with Harvest Home and Simon Hough (Big Country) singer of 15 years introduced the evening as a gig showcasing ,singles and album tracks old and new. Winter Sky and Come Back to me followed. Just A Shadow went down well with the crowd gaining great applause. Private Battlefield a song Stuart Adamson wrote with Marcus Hummon whilst he was in America and taken off The Raphael’s album Supernatural.

Then Mark Brzezicki 45 years in Big Country took over lead vocals and dedicated it to his Stuart Adamson. A few minor tweaks to the setlist was soon settled when they went back to the original setlist and not Simons electronic list. This included 13 Valleys, Ships, Peace in our time ,You dreamer a new track live on me.was then followed by lost Patrol And the final flurry of singles came Wonderland, Look Away, Chance ,Fields Of Fire .They briefly left the stage and came onto finish the night off with a rousing encore of In A Big Country.
Simon Hough vocals , Mark Brzezicki Drums ,Gil Allen ex The Skids but has been in Big Country for 7 years on fretless bass. On lead Guitar was Ken Nicol ex Steeleye Span. A thoroughly enjoyable sing-along was had by the near capacity crowd.
