A nice little Joyride with We Three Kings

Single Review: Joyrider by We Three Kings – 09 January 2026

This one just dropped in by email, not really familiar with the band but its was such a fun piece of Rock n Roll we thought we’d write it up (we do listen to everything that gets sent us, just we can’t respond to all messages).

This Manchester guitar/vocals and Drums duo produce more noise than they should be able to. This track is taken from an upcoming album ‘Stone Cold Kiss’ to be released in April. They have an album release gig at Off The Square Manchester (Lever Street M1 1FL) on Saturday 11 April (see links below).

Joyrider is a full throttle adrenalin ride of a track, straightforward rock with so many references that whiz by before you even realise. The band themselves namecheck Queens of the Stone Age and Jack White, wouldn’t disagree there, I’d even add in a similarity to Ricky Warwicks old band The Almighty. Yeah, this is fun, big riffs, no let up drums, fuzzed out guitars and wailing vocals and it just keeps building up the intensity. Reckon it could cause carnage on the right dance floor.
